Keeping Families Home, Strengthening Roots

Housing affordability is one of Denver’s most pressing challenges, and Trần is committed to ensuring that every resident of Far Southwest Denver has a safe, stable, and dignified place to call home. She believes that keeping families rooted in their neighborhoods is not just a housing issue—it is a matter of community resilience, economic stability, and intergenerational opportunity.

Tenant Protections & Anti-Displacement Strategies: Trần will support strong policies that prevent unnecessary eviction, preserve affordable homes, and protect long-time residents from being priced out. By prioritizing tenant rights and strengthening local enforcement mechanisms, she will help ensure that families can remain in their homes, maintain neighborhood continuity, and continue contributing to the social and economic fabric of District 2.

Preservation & Expansion of Affordable Housing: Maintaining the affordable housing stock already in place is essential, but it is only part of the solution. Trần will also promote the development of new affordable units that meet the needs of diverse households, including families, seniors, and working residents. By supporting projects that integrate affordability into new developments, she will ensure that Far Southwest Denver remains a place where households at every income level can find a home, build generational wealth, and plan for the future.

Innovative Housing Models: Recognizing that traditional approaches are not enough to meet current housing pressures, Trần will encourage flexible and creative housing solutions. Accessory dwelling units (ADUs), co-housing, and mixed-use developments can provide additional affordable options while fostering community, intergenerational living, and neighborhood vitality. These models create opportunities for families to live near jobs, schools, and essential services while strengthening social ties and local networks.

Equitable Access: Trần is committed to ensuring that housing programs are inclusive, addressing the needs of families, seniors, and workers across all income levels. Housing policy in District 2 will not only increase affordability but also create pathways for homeownership, wealth-building, and long-term stability, so that residents can invest in their homes, neighborhoods, and futures.

By integrating tenant protections, housing preservation, innovative development, and equitable access, Trần envisions a Far Southwest Denver where people of all incomes and generations can stay rooted, thrive, and build lasting connections to their community. In this vision, homes are not just places to live—they are the foundation for economic opportunity, neighborhood strength, and resilient families.

“Housing stability means family stability—and that’s the foundation of every strong neighborhood.”
