Investing Fairly in Southwest Denver

“Equity means every neighborhood gets the tools to thrive.”

For too long, Southwest Denver has been overlooked when it comes to city investments. Streets, parks, and public spaces in District 2 have not received the same level of attention as other parts of Denver—and it’s time to change that.

Trần is fighting to ensure District 2 receives its fair share of city resources. From safer streets and stronger infrastructure to accessible community programs and thriving local businesses, she believes investment must reflect the priorities of the people who live here.

Her plan centers on transparency, accountability, and community partnership:

  • Fair Funding for All Neighborhoods: Direct city dollars to where they’re needed most—improving sidewalks, parks, and public facilities in Bear Valley, Mar Lee, Harvey Park, and Westwood.

  • Participatory Budgeting: Give residents real power to help shape how city funds are spent through open, accessible decision-making.

  • Equitable Investment in the Future: Prioritize long-neglected infrastructure, support for small businesses, and cultural programs that strengthen neighborhood identity.

  • Data-Driven, Community-Informed Decisions: Use neighborhood input and real data to ensure city spending aligns with the most urgent community needs.

By aligning city priorities with community voices, Trần will make sure every investment builds opportunity—not just for today, but for generations to come.

“Equity isn’t about taking from one neighborhood to give to another—it’s about recognizing that fairness starts with meeting people where they are.”
