Safety Through Community, Prevention & Trust
Everyone deserves to feel safe—at home, at school, and on the streets. Trầns’ approach to public safety is grounded in prevention, collaboration, and accountability—not fear. She believes that strong neighborhoods are the foundation of real safety.
Key initiatives include:
Traffic Safety & Street Improvements: Upgrade crosswalks, add street lighting, and implement traffic-calming measures along key corridors like Federal, Sheridan, and Jewell to protect pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike.
Community-Based Safety Programs: Expand youth engagement, violence prevention, and neighborhood partnerships that address the root causes of crime and foster a sense of shared responsibility.
Mental-Health & Crisis Response: Support trained mental-health response teams to provide care in situations where traditional policing may not be the best solution.
Trần’s vision of public safety centers on connected, resilient communities—where residents, local organizations, and city services collaborate to prevent harm and build lasting trust.
